Historic Sermon: Hall Crowder

This week's historic sermon is the next installment in the series from the 23rd Annual Louisville Christian Fellowship. It comes from Brother Hall Crowder. Brother Crowder was a long-time friend of the Allensville Church of Christ, who held gospel meetings in Allensville, and drove from Gallatin Tennessee for years every other Saturday night to preach. After a long life of Christian service, Brother Crowder died earlier this year. He preaches a message reminding us that God has purged our sin by way of a Son. A Son who is superior to the prophets, angels, and all other beings.

This week Justin Adams discussed the story of Zaccheaus. Justin highlights specifically how Jesus recognized Zaccheaus as a true son of Abraham. 

Historic Sermon: Dale Offutt

This week's sermon is a continuation of our series from the 23rd Annual Louisville Christian Fellowship from 1970. The third speaker in the series was Brother Dale Offutt. Brother Offutt speaks of the eternal, saving power of the blood of Jesus.

The second speaker in the series was Bro. Ben Rake Sr. who spoke of the role of the church in "Contending for the Faith." Pay special attention to the episode intro which features a touching note from Bro. Ben Rake Sr's grandaughter.

Historic Sermon: Howard Marsh ”The Faith Once Delivered”

This episode is the first of the digitized reel-to-reel content we have. It comes from the 23rd Annual Louisville Christian Fellowship Week in 1970, and was originally recorded by Robert F. Gill. The theme of the meeting was "Contending for the Faith" from the book Jude. The first speaker in the series is Brother Howard Marsh. Brother Marsh hails from either Sellersburg or Henryville Churches of Christ in Indiana. His message come from the first few verses of Jude and is entitled "The Faith Once Delivered." 

Weekly Sermon: Drew Teel

This week's sermon comes from Drew Teel, a long-time member and regular in the preaching rotation. Drew discussed how we as Christian are to respond to offensive circumstances, ultimately behaving like Christ, setting ourselves apart. 

Weekly Sermon: Justin Adams ”Father Abraham”

In a sermon that borrows its title from the infamous camp song "Father Abraham," Justin Adams discusses the significance of being "heirs of Abraham" through faith in Christ, in light of Galatians 3 and Genesis 12. 

Historic Sermon: Trey Judd

For this weeks historic sermon we hear from Trey Judd. Trey and his family were long time member at Allensville, and still visit routinely as most of their extended family are still members. The Judd's attend the Trenton Crossing Church of Christ in Clarksville, TN. This sermon takes us all the way back to October 4, 2020. Trey's message comes from Deuteronomy 6, discussing some of God's most important commandments and how we are to prioritize them.
